Ayodhyāpuram

Ayodhyapuram is a recent tirth and close to Vallabhipura. It was built with the blessings and inspiration of Acharyashree Abhaysagarji Maharaj Saheb. There is a colossal 23 feet murti of Lord Adeshwar. It is mentioned in the scriptures that Lord Adeshwar’s height was 500 dhanus (Dhanus धनुस् refers to a unity of measurement corresponding to 4 hasta or approx 2m). Taking a scale of 1 inch to represent 1 dhanus, the idol would be 500 inches tall. However, since it is in padmasana position, it was sculpted to be 277 inches tall. The huge stone was brought from Jaipur (Rajasthan) on specially made truck having 150 wheels with 2 high power engines.

The shikhar (dome) is 108 feet high. It is called Ayodhyapuram as Ayodhya was the birth place of Lord Adeshwar. It is believed to be the world’s biggest Jain murti in sitting position.

At the basement of the temple, there is Agam Mandir and in the vicinity there is goshala (shelter for cows).
