This ancient tirth has Shantinath Bhagwan as the main deity which is believed to have been found in a river. Before Parswanath Bhagwan was the main deity before, but during renovations about 170 years ago, the current murti was consecrated as the main murti.
The derasar is unqiue as it is made up of glass. Around the periphery of the temple, artistic glass designs depict various Jain tales.
It is documented that once Shasansamrat Acharya Nemisuriji visited Datha village and with his impactful sermon, fishermen of Datha set fire to thousands of fishing nets and abandoned fishing for life-time.
