Perhaps hardly any pilgrims visit Lotānā Tirth, but it has immense historical significance to the Jains.
Can you imagine millions of people flock to Palitana to do darshan of Lord Adeshwar, and ironically which was once the main idol at Palitana now has hardly any pilgrims visiting to do darshan. The murti of Lord Adeshwar is tantalising.
There are also two murti of Lord Parsvanath in the kayotsarga posture which are thought to be very ancient.
It is believed that during the 13th renovation of Palitana, Lord Adeshwar’s murti from this tirth was taken to Palitana and it returned to its original location as shown in the picture below.
